AgriSETA is inviting applications from ambitious and qualified graduates to join the Supply Chain Management Internship Programme 2025. This structured 24-month internship is designed to help young professionals gain hands-on experience in procurement, logistics, bid administration, and compliance while working in a professional corporate environment.
Internship Overview
- Position: Intern – Supply Chain Management (x2 posts)
- Duration: 24 months (fixed term)
- Department: Supply Chain Management
- Reporting To: Assistant Manager: Supply Chain Management

- Stipend: Monthly allowance provided
This opportunity will allow interns to build a strong foundation in supply chain operations, procurement procedures, logistics management, and governance compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Procurement
- Source quotations from tax-compliant suppliers registered on the CSD (Central Supplier Database)
- Compile comparative schedules for RFQs and prepare recommendations
- Generate and distribute purchase orders
- Process requisitions and orders within set timelines
2. Bid Administration
- Ensure all processes comply with SCM policies and National Treasury guidelines
- Track supplier deliveries and manage outstanding orders
- Support contract management and service level agreements (SLAs)
- Provide secretariat support to bid committee meetings
3. Logistics Management
- Manage stationery and grocery supplies
- Conduct regular stock-takes and maintain updated inventory records
- Issue and track stationery requests for audit purposes
4. Travel Arrangements
- Assist staff with travel bookings through approved travel agencies
- Resolve queries related to travel logistics, including after-hours assistance
5. Reporting & Ad Hoc Duties
- Maintain RFQ registers and procurement reports
- Ensure deadlines for reporting are met
- Support other SCM-related functions when required
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Matric / Grade 12
- NQF Level 6 qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or equivalent
- No prior work experience required
Core Competencies
- Basic computer literacy (MS Word & Excel)
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions
